Sometimes the swipe doesn't even need to be voiced.

My H was criticizing our DIL to me for not addressing her ADHD and anxiety issues. He steps up on his podium and declares that he just can't understand how she won't just pull up her big girl panties and get some help. "I would never let it go. I would tackle my problems head on!".

This said by a man who cheated in his first year of marriage and then kept it secret for 42 yrs. Let that secret fester and taint almost every relationship he's ever had. I guess my face said it all.
